Paul was a versatile 3 sport athlete, but many feel basketball was his best sport.

He was a 3-year starter achieving All-Conference honors in his junior and senior years.

Paul’s senior season also saw his efforts recognized as a member of All-State Team.

In 2001, Paul was a member of the Boys State Basketball Championship team, and was instrumental in ensuring the first ever state title in Raider basketball history. 

Along with Hall of Famer Vinny Colapietro, Paul’s name can be included with some of the best point guards in Windsor Locks History.

While he made his mark on the hard court, he equally excelled on the soccer field. Paul was a 4-year starter, achieving all-conference and all-state honors during his senior year.

He scored 18 goals during his senior year, showing the level of how he dominated opposing defenses.

Paul Bucchieri will certainly be remembered as one of the most successful athletes in Raider history. 

Paul has 2 children, Ava, 11 years old and Parker who is 8 years old. Like their dad, they both have a passion for sports. Ava plays basketball and is also a member of her travel soccer team.  Parker plays baseball, basketball, and soccer. He also enjoys WWE.

Paul is a proud father that loves to watch his kids plays sports.

As a youngster Paul liked vacationing in Maine and Block Island. He loves watching sports on TV
