When the Hall of Fame was initially formed, committee members interviewed coaches such as Dan Sullivan and Pat Scelza.
Coach Scelza recommended about 5 -6 softball players for the Hall of Fame. He added this comment about Lisa, great athlete.
Lisa was a 1982 grad of Windsor Locks High.
She played varsity field hockey and softball from 1979-1982. She was named all -conference for both softball and field hockey. She won the senior award for both sports.
She played both sports in Dean College. She was named to NJCAA All New England All New England Field Hockey Team and Dean JC MVP for 1983-4 forfield hockey.
After graduating college, she worked for a computer company in Hartford, CT. She relocated to MA in 1987 and took a job with Springfield Institution for Savings which is now known as TD Bank. She has been with the bank for 35 years in various positions.
She has always been active and enjoy the outdoors.
She found whitewater and flat-water marathon canoe racing and this interest took her to races in New England as well as Canada for almost 20 years. She also took up running where she participated in
numerous 5 & 10k races, ½ marathons and two full marathons. She also enjoy road biking with friends and have logged many miles in the Hill towns of MA.
She currently lives in Palmer MA with my husband, Scott. They enjoy vacationing in Florida and visiting
local wineries.
Lisa has recently taken up CrossFit and enjoy the many challenges it brings.
Lisa’s family has been and continues to be the foundation and support for everything she has accomplished in her life. She is so thankful to have always had their encouragement and support over the years. Her life would not been as wonderful as it is without them.
Scott and Lisa are looking forward to retiring and the new travel adventures to come!
