Michael was an outstanding pitcher and shortstop graduating from Windsor Locks High in 2005.
Many young athletes dream of scoring the winning goal, making a buzzer beater in basketball or getting a walk off hit in baseball.
He might have done this earlier but getting a walk-off hit in his last at bat and winning the 2005 state championship with the hit. He also kept the Raiders in the game by pitching 8 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.
His last 2 years as pitcher he was 17-3 with an E.R.A. under 1.50. His senior year he was 8-1, with an E.R. A. of 1.39. He struck out 90 batters in 60 innings.
In his last 2 years he won 4 games in the state tournament.
In His senior year he had 4 home runs, 8 doubles and 5 triples. In 64
games he had 32 extra base hits. Many felt if he played at Veteran’s Memorial Park he would have hit 10 home runs.
Michael made all conference in baseball for 4years and All-State in baseball for 2 years.
Mike and his wife Krystal have been married 8 years. They have 2 children Xavier, 15 years old and Ellie 7 years old.
Mike has been in the Air Guard for 19 years, deployed to Afghanistan and Qatar. He has aided in many stateside relief efforts. Mike has been with the Connecticut State Police for year 11 years.
Since becoming a trooper in 2013. He has worked with intelligence center for 2 years, he was a detective for 4 years with the Firearms divisions, and is now assigned to Troop H in Hartford.
Mike hobbies include fishing, hunting being outdoors and spending time with his family and occasional video session with Xavier.
Mike has been Xavier Main Handler for his quarter midget racing at Silver City in Meriden for his last 2 years. He supports Ellie’s newfound love for gymnastic and dance.
Mike’s family loves to vacation in Louisiana where Krystal is originally from. They also stay local for other vacation time.
