Laura, 1999 graduate of Windsor Locks High was a 3 -sport athlete playing soccer, basketball, and softball.
Softball was her best sport. She made all conference for 2 years and All-State in her senior year.
In her senior season she batted .358 with 24 hits and 26 RBI. Laura was one of the rare Windsor Locks athletes invited to CHSCA all-Star game.
She then went on to play softball at Roger Williams College where she made all conference second team twice and all conference first team twice.
During one season Laura struck out only once in 108 at bats. While at Roger Williams she ranked first in hits, at bats, runs scored doubles and put outs. Her highest batting average was .394.
Laura has been married to her husband Matt for the last 15 years and has two children Ava and Mia Cabral age 11. Her children like the mom engage in different athletic Sports.
Matt a retired West Warwick firefighter, referees youth and high school football.
Laura is employed as school librarian at Mt. Hope High school in Bristol Rhode Island.
She enjoys cooking, golf, reading and spendng time with her family going out on their boat.
The family favorite vacation spots are Disney, Aruba, and cruises to the Caribbean.
