Daniel Farr

Dan Farr was the prototype Dan Sullivan athlete; talented, competitive and always out hustling the opponent.   

Like his Hall of Fame sister Eileen, Dan was a three sport athlete at Windsor Locks High School. In soccer, he was a four year starter.

His senior year he made all- conference and All-State. Playing as a midfielder he was a key member of Coach Sullivan’s 5th state soccer championship team in 1990.

In basketball Dan was a three year starter at guard. In his junior year, he was the team’s third leading scorer but helped in other ways as well, leading the team in steals, 3 point shots made and tied for assists. H

is senior year Dan led the team in scoring, steals, assists, and 3 point baskets made.

His most memorable game was against rival Suffield when he scored in double- digits and added 15 rebounds and 9 assists.

He was voted all conference in basketball his senior year. 

In baseball, Dan was a three year starter, patrolling the outfield and stealing many bases on offense.

He also earned all-conference honors in baseball hitting over .400.

 In 1991 the baseball team was the NCCC champs and reached the semifinals in the state tournament. Danny was selected to play in the baseball senior bowl.

Danny was named team captain in all 3 sports.

No matter what sport he played, the Raiders were very competitive. His also excelled in academics earning the scholar athlete award.

After graduating from UConn, Dan married his wife Stacey and they have raised 3 children. Katie, Sophie, and Vinny. His family likes to spend summers in Rhode Island. They like to vacation in the Caribbean as well as visit Disney World.

He has coached travel basketball for his children. Dan has a degree in accounting from UConn and an MBA in Finance. 

He has spent his career in the finance business and currently is the CFO at William Raveis Realty.

Whether it was on the field, the court or the diamond, Dan Farr had a will to win that led him into the Athletic Hall of Fame.
